A few weeks ago, I attended my first bridal show. I had no idea what to expect but I was excited! Going to this event was like an official start for my wedding planning.

Besides my nerves, I wanted to make sure that I wore just the right outfit so I spent endless hours on Pinterest and the Internet looking for some ideas. Sadly, I did not find many outfit photos but I did find two very helpful tips.

(1) Wear shoes with no heels.

(2) Dress comfortably.

There was also a third tip, which was basically to eat before you go but I’m ashamed to say that I did not listen (smh). However I sure did heed the style advice. I got the message loud and clear – BE COMFORTABLE.

The main reason other brides shared this tip was due to the length of these shows, the constant walking and the overwhelming aura of the entire event. For example, when my friend and I walked in to the enormous showroom for the Columbus Bridal Show, there were dresses, cakes, honeymoon flyers, real estate agents, a runway for the bridal fashion show and the list goes on. It was a lot to take in.

But we had so much fun.

In the midst of our travels (in this big room), we met old college classmates who have their own photography business and we got see our model colleagues who we’ve worked with several times over the past two years as we’ve promoted my fashion business, Baydian. The best part, in my opinion, was the brief chat with Randy Fenoli from ‘Say Yes to the Dress‘ on TLC. He was such a sweetheart and he made me feel way more at ease about possibly being a bridezilla lol. We’ll discuss that later. However, the most surprising part was the numerous comments I received from vendors on my outfit – mostly my MARVEL leggings.

Now, it was freezing back then but I made the most of it and wore comfy layers, including this cardigan long overcoat from ZNU.com.

What do you think of this bride-to-be bridal show look? (Be careful, that’s a tongue-twister)
