A eyeful en a bellyful…
AKA seeing is different from having….and that applies to fashion. Just because you see a great item on the store rack or in your closet, it doesn’t mean that you grasp its full style potential, and just because you see an awesome outfit photo, it doesn’t mean that it’s for you. That’s where Baydian Girl comes in.
Baydian Girl is an intentionally curated collection of style inspiration, empowering words and unique resources to help women create bold personal style and inspire them to be the heroine of their life.
- You want to infuse YOUR everyday outfits with YOUR personality
- You want to determine which of the latest trends to add to your wardrobe
- You are interested in fashion’s practical life lessons
THIS IS THE BLOG FOR YOU!
But that’s not all. If you are looking for a one-on-one experience because you feel that you’re just not good at this thing called fashion, then I’d love to work with you!
The point is, I am passionate about uncovering the fashionista within YOU
BUT WHO AM I?
I’m Tamara Sykes, an introverted Caribbean gal who started this platform in 2014 with the sole purpose of showing women how they could wear scarves on the everyday runway. In fact, it was a random idea I’d had while collaborating with a fashion colleague of mine. When she was listed as one of the top scarf bloggers as a result of our collaboration, I considered it as confirmation, and began this adventure.
Now, a few years later, Baydian Girl has expanded into a go-to hub for unconventional style advice and inspiration. And what’s most ironic about it all is that I was the tomboy who hated skirts and all things shopping lol. However, my transformation into the fashionista I am today unleashed my voice, causing people to take notice, and I truly hope that Baydian Girl’s content does the same for you.
Outside of blogging, I am the addicted-to-chai-tea-lattes Founder and Creative Director of an emerging fashion company recently featured in Harper’s Bazaar, proud co-founder of Caribbean Girls Who Blog, a freelance writer for multiple platforms, including The Huffington Post, and an unashamed #dogmom.
