7 Engagement Photo Outfits That Any Couple Can Use

Let’s take a trip down memory lane, shall we?

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Almost year ago to the day, bae and I had decided that it was time to take our engagement photos.

Our goal was simple. We wanted to take engagement photos that expressed who we were as a couple. Nothing more and nothing less.

Yet the pressure was on. What were we going to wear?

These weren’t going to be photos that we simply shared on Facebook with friends and family. Our engagement photos were going to forever document a major event in our lives. Therefore, our outfits needed to be on point!

And that would take some planning.

How To Prepare For Your Engagement Photoshoot

Think of your engagement photos as a magazine release.

It’s not in your best interest to wake up, throw on some clothes, pick a random wall and take photos. That probably won’t document the best visuals of you as a couple. Plus, if you’re like us, you’d most likely be super stressed.

However, if you plan ahead, you will use this golden opportunity to capture the sweetest and most perfect moments of you and bae, while looking like a million bucks!

So how do you prepare? It’s as easy as A-B-C!

A. Adapt your wedding theme for your engagement photoshoot. You don’t have to exactly match your wedding day optics. Simply coordinate with the overall idea. For example, if your wedding will be on a beach, aim for a beachy vibe in your photos.

B.  Be absolutely clear on your location. Scope out your town or even your state! Figure out where you will be taking your photos. This way you and your photographer can create a plan and flow for your engagement shoot.

C.  Choose your outfits ahead of time! Outfit plan, outfit plan, outfit plan. You want to feel as confident as possible on photoshoot day while expressing your personal style. If you wait until the last minute to find pieces that accomplish this for you, you’ll be scrambling. That’s no fun. And don’t forget makeup trials! I just can’t stress this enough. Outfit plan!
